Procedural Music Project
Experiments in procedurally generated music using Web Audio.
-
v0.0.2 - This version introduces a pattern based note sequencer rendered in "Tracker" style. The repetition of a single phrase of notes creates a stronger sense of rhythm. An auto-mutation features mutates the phrase once per loop, by randomly swapping pairs of notes. This creates music with a "looping" feel, but constantly evolves through various permutations.
-
v0.0.1 - First version. Random notes played from a selected scale. Even something as simple as this is capable of creating strangely emotive melodies and harmonies. Due to a lack of keycenter, the music sounds very modal. No phrase ever repeats, giving a rambling / wandering feel.
Basic multivoice synth.
Accurate WebAudio timing with a lookahead note scheduler.
- wind chimes - The original ambient wind chimes experiment. Non-rhythmic long notes from a selected scale.
